Equality Festival at the Dworek Białoprądnicki Culture Centre

The invitation to perform at the Dworek Białoprądnicki Culture Centre in Cracow is always one we are very happy and honoured to receive. This year, on the 21st of September, we had the opportunity to be included in the Equality Festival organised by this most welcoming of Cracow’s cultural institutions.
Our presence there was not limited to singing – already in the morning of the performance day, our representatives were invited to the NGO area, where they engaged in conversations with festival-goers who wanted to know more about who we are and what we do. Two of our choristers, Basia and Joanna of the Pracownia Śliczności atelier, also held their trademark screen-printing workshop, where they taught the participants how to print pride-related slogans on their T-shirts, canvas bags or bandanas.
In the evening, on the Dworek’s front stairs, Krakofonia gave a performance that segued into an open rehearsal led by our one and only conductor, Lew Galaksy. We were moved by how many of you were open to and enthusiastic about singing together – it’s a unique pleasure to be able to share the joy of making music together, with you rather than at you, separated by a stage.
We could not have imagined a better closing of the summer season than the Equality Festival at the Dworek Białoprądnicki!
